This is the third part of my travel diary about Wien-Bratislava (for part one click here, part two). Finally, I’ll tell you about Bratislava!
To go there we took a Flixbus in the bus station Wien Erdberg.
The journey lasted about 45 minutes and the bus will stop you in Bratislava’s bus station, that’s close to the city center.
Arrived here we went around the center to explore a little bit and then we got something for breakfast.
Throughout the streets, you’ll find a lot of statues and some of them are in the drains!
Then we went to see S. Michael’s door and the castle. If you don’t have so much time, I advise you to visit the castle only from the outside, but if you are interested inside there are a lot of historical remains. You’ll do a jump in the past until the early 90s. From the castle’s entrance, you’ll see all the city, and also the UFO tower.
After the castle, we went to see the Blue Church. We couldn’t get into the church because it was closed, you can only see the church from 7:00 am to 7:30 and from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Even if it’s closed there are some glasses that allow you to see inside.
After we went to eat something and we went at Prasna Basta. I really advise you to eat there, you’ll eat very delicious typical food not paying too much.
Then we had to came back because we had to take the Flixbus… And also there was a storm going on!
I really advise you to go there, especially if you are in Wien or Budapest, with the bus you’ll arrive quickly and you would not spend so much money, Wien-Bratislava is about 5 euros and Budapest – Bratislava is about 10 euros.
